GM Susan Polgar announced today that she will be working with ICC’s World Chess Live to provide video chess instruction for players under 2200.  There will be beginner, intermediate and advanced lessons once a week.

She will also provide important information for chess coaches, parents and teachers on how to introduce chess to students and new programs.

GM Polgar confirms the rumor of a global chess tv channel in the works.  We are following that idea closely.

What I find interesting is how he is talking through his thought process. Unfortunately, in real games we don’t get hints about the problems we must solve. Please enjoy and visit our friends over at chessvideos.tv

Posted by Frank | Chess Training, chess coach, chess videos | Sunday 18 May 2008 3:35 am

I am so glad I have the opportunity to honor chess coach NM Rene Phillips. Coach Rene is a Georgia transplant via New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina. He is a tremendous talent and has personally instructed chess students all over the country. I have spoken with Coach Rene off and on for over a year about how we could work together promoting chess. This collaboration promises to be exciting. Below you will find a video Coach Rene produced for his chess students over at ChessVideos.tv I have mentioned chessvideos.tv in previous posts, but I can’t say too much about them. They have a tremendous resource that continues to grow and will become the Chess version of Youtube. Please visit them soon.
